This article will outline the differences between Later’s plans and how to get started with the plan that suits you best.
Overview
Later offers the following plans:
- Free
- Starter
- Growth
- Advanced
We also offer Scale plans for teams with a larger number of clients.
The Free plan offers a great introductory suite of features to help you get started with social media scheduling.
Our paid plans offer more features. On our Growth and Advanced plans, you can add additional Social Sets and users to your plan at an additional cost if you sign up for Later on desktop.
Note: Not available on accounts that have already had a trial or paid plan in the past.

When selecting a plan, there are 2 terms that are good to know:
Social SetA Social Set allows you to add one of each supported profile to your Later account. One Social Set = 1 Instagram, 1 Facebook, 1 Twitter, 1 Pinterest, 1 TikTok, 1 LinkedIn |

UserUsers are unique logins that have access to your Later account. Each plan includes one account admin. Additional users added to an account can schedule posts and manage media, but are restricted from making changes to the account settings. |

Free Plan
Later’s Free plan is great for individuals looking to post single images to 1 Social Set. The Free plan can’t be customized.

Growth & Advanced Plans
Our Growth and Advanced Plans both include all of Later’s features. The difference between these plans is the number of Social Sets, users, and posts included. On these plans, you can also add more Social Sets and users if needed at an additional cost if you sign up through Later on desktop (not available for purchases through Later’s iOS app).
These plans also give you unlimited Access Groups. This allows you to keep your Media Libraries and Social Sets separated for your different brands or clients, while restricting user access to only the Access Groups they need.
With these plans you’ll get all of the features included in Free and Starter, with the addition of the features outlined below:

Setting Up Your Paid Plan
There are two ways to sign up for a Later plan: via desktop through our pricing page, or via Later’s iOS app through an in-app purchase.
Desktop
You can upgrade to one of Later’s paid plans at any time from the pricing page (you’ll create a free account before starting a subscription). Here’s how:

- Visit the pricing page to see how much your plan will cost.

Choose either the monthly or yearly payment option
Tip: Save 17% by paying yearly! - Once you’re ready to move forward, click Select Plan

If you haven’t already, you’ll be asked to create an account or log in.
- Already have an account? log in when prompted

Don’t have an account yet?
- Click Create an Account and follow the prompts. When you arrive on the Later Calendar, click Start 14-Day Free Trial in the top right corner.
- You’ll be taken to a similar pricing page within the Later web app. Select between yearly and monthly billing, then click Start 14-Day Free Trial again.
- On the checkout page, review your plan details. If you’ve selected the Growth or Advanced plan, you can add additional Social Sets and users if needed.
- Enter your credit card information.

Click Start 14-Day Free Trial or Subscribe.
iOS (In-App Purchase)
- Plan add-ons (users, Social Sets , and credits) are not available
- Refund requests need to be directed to and approved by Apple
- You need to manage your subscription through the iOS app (not through Later on desktop)
- Only Growth and Advanced plans are available
- Coupons and non-profit discounts cannot be applied
- On Later’s iOS app, tap Account
- Tap All Plans
- Only Growth and Advanced plans are available through iOS
- Tap the plan you’d like to sign up for
- If you haven’t had your Later trial yet, tap Start 14-Day Free Trial
- Otherwise, tap Select Plan
- Tap Subscribe and sign in with your Apple ID
- Follow the prompts to complete your subscription
Once you’re done, your new plan is ready to use! Your plan will renew automatically until it is cancelled.
