If you’re new to participating in Later campaigns, you’re in the right place! This article contains answers to common questions we receive from creators about campaigns, with links to other resources for more details.
How do I get selected for campaigns?
There are 2 ways to be selected for participation in a campaign:
- Browse the campaign board and apply to campaigns that interest you, or
- Get invited to a campaign directly by a brand, and apply from there
If you apply to a campaign, the brand will reach out to you via email if they’re interested in working together. If you’re invited, you can accept the invitation, and fill out the application from there (please note that being invited doesn’t guarantee that you’ll be chosen to participate after you apply).
Once you’ve applied to the campaign via either method, the brand will reach out via email if you’ve been accepted!
How do brands find me?
For brands to find you, you’ll need to opt-in to Later’s creator marketplace (it’s free!). Once you’ve opted in, we’ll make a creator profile for you that will be searchable when brands use Later to find creators to collaborate with.
From there, brands may choose to invite you to participate in their campaigns—in that case, you’ll be sent an email inviting you to apply.
Do I have to pay for Later to participate in campaigns?
Nope—participating in Later campaigns as a creator is free! By creating a free Later account, you can join the creator marketplace, browse the campaigns board, and apply to campaigns. (If you create a media kit, you’ll need to be on a paid plan to share it with brands, but that’s optional.)
While participating in campaigns is free, Later’s paid plans offer access to more advanced social media management and analytics features—to learn more, check out Choosing a Later Social Plan.
How do I get paid for campaigns?
Cash payments are processed through Stripe, and other forms of compensation (such as gifted products) will vary per campaign—check the campaign brief for details. For cash compensation, you’ll need to connect your Stripe account to receive payments—for instructions, see Connect Stripe & Get Paid for Campaigns.
How do I contact a brand?
To express interest in a campaign, you can apply directly from the campaigns board. Once you’ve been accepted into a campaign, the brand will reach out to you via email with details on how to participate. The best way to communicate with a brand is to reply directly to one of these emails.
Remember, you can also always review a campaign’s details (including whether you’ve been accepted, the campaign’s brief, and deliverables) in your Later campaign manager, where you can access and manage your campaigns all in one place!
Why do I have to connect my social profiles to Later?
Connecting your social profiles allows Later to track some content metrics automatically, so you don’t have to self-report them. If a brand has marked a certain social profile as required for their campaign, you’ll need to connect that profile to Later in order to apply. Brands choose which profiles to make required for their campaigns.
There are certain profiles and platforms that can’t be tracked automatically in Later; for these deliverables, manual self-reporting is required. Self-reporting might also be needed in certain other scenarios, like if there’s a network outage that prevented the automatic collection of data. If this is the case, you’ll be requested to self-report your content metrics.
How do I find my campaigns in Later?
You can manage all of your Later campaigns in one place using Later’s campaign manager, accessible from the left sidebar by selecting Creator Home > Manage Campaigns.
For more details, see Access & Manage Campaigns.
I’ve been accepted to a campaign! What’s next?
Congratulations! 🎉 After you’ve been accepted to a campaign, you’ll need to confirm your participation. This lets the brand know you’re ready to participate!
The next steps depend on the campaign itself! For example, you might need to wait to receive a gifted product, create your content deliverables to publish, or submit content deliverables for a draft review. The specific details will be provided in the campaign brief, which will be provided via email as well as in your campaign manager.
For details on campaigns with draft reviews, see Submit Campaign Drafts for Review. For more on how the performance of your published campaign content is tracked, see Publish & Track Campaign Content.
