Later offers Pinterest scheduling to help keep your visual content beautiful, consistent, and hands-free. Once you’ve connected your Pinterest account, you can begin scheduling, measuring, and optimizing your Pins with Later.
How Does Pinterest Scheduling Work?
- You can schedule to Pinterest from Later on the web or Later's iOS and Android apps
- All users can schedule pins with 1 image
- Users on all plans, including Free, with a Pinterest business account can schedule videos
- Pins that you schedule with Later will automatically post to your Pinterest account
- A Pinterest board must be selected in order for you to schedule a Pin
- You can schedule images to any Pinterest account
- The number of Pinterest posts you can schedule monthly is dependent on your plan
- Pin captions can be up to 500 characters
Connect Your Pinterest Account
Important: If you have multiple Access Groups in your Later account, make sure that you’re in the right Group before connecting your Pinterest account.
- From Later on the Web, click the + symbol at the top of your calendar
- Select an empty Pinterest slot and click Add Social Profile
- Log in to Pinterest to add your Pinterest profile
Schedule a Pin
Desktop
- Go to your Calendar in Later on the web
- Select your Pinterest profile at the top
- Drag and drop the media you want to schedule
- Set the date and time you want the post to go out
- Select the board that you want to post your Pin to. You can search your boards by name or scroll through the list
- Enter a Pin title and description, and add a website link

Optional Edits:
- Click Edit Image individual media to edit it
- Click Change Media to change the photo
- Enable Click Tracking if you want to track the clicks on your website link (Growth and Advanced plans only)

Click Schedule Post
- Alternatively, click the down arrow next to the Schedule Post button > Save as Draft to save your post as a draft and come back to it later
iOS
To create a Pin from the Schedule Tab:
- Select the Schedule Tab
- Tap the create-post button
- Select your Pinterest profile
- Tap + to add media
- Select the board that you want to post your Pin to
- Enter a Pin title and description, and add a website link
- Optional edits:
- Tap a photo to crop it
- Tap x to remove media
- Tap + to add media

Alternatively, tap Save as Draft to save your post as a draft and come back to it later
Android
- Select the Media Tab
- Tap a single image or video you’d like to schedule
- Tap Create Post
- Select your Pinterest profile
- Select your Pinterest Board
- Add your caption and hashtags
- Tap Change and select a date and time for publishing

Tap Schedule Post
- Alternatively, tap Save as Draft to save your post as a draft and come back to it later
Important: Later can only connect to public Pinterest boards, not secret boards. Make sure that the board you want to post to is set to public.
Note: If you enable click tracking, your link will be shortened and tracked when the Pin is published. Don’t worry — Later's link shortener is allowed by Pinterest because we’re a Pinterest Marketing Partner.
Tip: Use a clear, relevant title to name your Pin, and write a Pin description that relates to the title and Pin image. Don't add URLs to your Pin description. Instead, add a URL to the Website field.
After you've published a Pin, you can check your Pinterest Analytics to see how your Pin is performing!
