The Title Tag is most helpful for increasing search engine rankings
- Try to include the most relevant, targeted keywords towards the beginning while ensuring it still reads naturally—avoid keyword stuffing
-
The Meta Description doesn't affect your search ranking, but helps increase click-through rates
- Try to catch your audience's interest by including additional (but still relevant) keywords—these may be bolded by Google if contained in the user's search query
-
If you're running out of characters or visible width, try these substitutions to save space:
- & instead of 'and'
- 1, 2, 3 instead of 'one', 'two', 'three'
- Pipe (|) instead of dash (-)
