Later’s connection to social platforms like Instagram and Facebook grants us permission to publish posts, collect content, display analytics, and more.
Due to requirements set by Meta, some Later features require your Instagram business or creator profile to be connected to a Facebook Page. You can submit campaign applications using Instagram alone, but connecting a Facebook Page is required later to fully enable certain features.
You must also grant Later the specific permissions to fully access many Later features, including:
- Social Inbox
- Search by Hashtag
- Tagging Users & Locations
- Instagram Story analytics
- Link in Bio
- Tagging Instagram Products
- Best Time to Post
- Campaigns
- Shopple posts/tags
For a detailed tutorial, including troubleshooting steps, see Connect Instagram to a Facebook Page.
If you don’t connect your Instagram business or creator profile to a Facebook Page, you’ll still be able to connect it and publish posts, but some features—including campaign performance data—won't be available until Facebook is connected.
