Important: As of August 21, 2023, all single-video posts scheduled to Instagram must be scheduled as Instagram Reels. The Post Builder no longer has a Feed Post option for Instagram videos. This is due to an update with Instagram’s API. This does not impact videos included in Multi-Photo (carousel) posts.
Using Later, you can plan and schedule your Instagram Reels ahead of time to stay organized and keep your audience engaged!
Important:
- Instagram Reels Scheduling is available on all Later plans, including Free
- Each Reel is equal to 1 Later post
-
Auto Publish for Reels is available for Instagram business and creator profiles only
- Auto Publish must be enabled in order to use it
-
Reels scheduled for Auto Publish cannot exceed 90 seconds in length if scheduled through app.later.com on desktop or iOS, and cannot exceed 60 seconds if scheduled through Android
- To schedule a Reel longer than 60 seconds through Android, schedule it for notification publishing
- You can select custom cover images and/or tag users when scheduling Reels through Later on the web
-
Due to API limitations, auto published Reels can only use original audio at this time
- If you want to use trending audio/music/sounds, the best method is to schedule your Reel for notification publishing and add the audio during the posting process in Instagram
- Instagram captions can be up to 2,200 characters
