Some campaigns may require you to submit a concept before you begin creating draft or live content.
A concept explains the creative direction you plan to take. It gives the brand an opportunity to review your idea, provide feedback, and confirm that you’re aligned before you start production.
If your campaign requires a concept, you’ll submit it through the campaign manager in Later Social.
What to Include in Your Concept
Review the campaign brief before writing your concept. Depending on the campaign, your concept might include:
- Your proposed content idea
- The format or creative approach
- Key talking points
- A hook, script, or shot list
- How you plan to feature the product or brand
- Links to examples or supporting documents
- Supporting images or videos
Follow any additional instructions provided by the brand.
Find Your Campaign
To open the campaign:
- Sign in to Later Social using desktop or mobile web
- From the left sidebar, select Creator Home
- Select Manage Campaigns
- If needed, select Active
- Select Open Campaign beside the campaign
Review the campaign brief before submitting your concept. You can access the brief while completing your submission.
Submit Your Concept
If the campaign requires concept approval, you’ll see a prompt to submit a concept before moving on to drafts or live deliverables.
To submit it:
- Open the campaign in Manage Campaigns
- Find the Concept section
- Select Submit Concept
- Enter your proposed concept in the text field
- Add any optional images or videos
- Include links to supporting resources, if needed
- Review your submission
- Select Submit
Once submitted, your concept is sent to the brand for review. You won’t be able to move on to drafts or live content until the required concept has been approved.
Include Supporting Links
You can paste links to Google Docs, Canva designs, example social posts, or other supporting resources into the concept text. Links remain clickable after the concept is submitted.
Make sure anyone reviewing your concept has permission to open the linked resource.
PDF uploads are not currently supported. If your concept is stored in a PDF, upload it somewhere the brand can access and paste the sharing link into your submission.
Check Your Concept Status
The status of your concept appears in your campaign manager after the brand reviews it.
You may see one of the following statuses:
- Approved: Your concept was approved as submitted. You can move on to the next campaign step.
- Approved with Corrections: You can move forward, but you should review and apply the brand’s corrections when creating your content.
- Needs Work: The brand has requested revisions. Review the feedback and submit an updated version.
You’ll also receive a notification when the brand completes its review.
Review Feedback and Submit a Revision
If your concept is marked Needs Work:
- Open the campaign in Manage Campaigns
- Open the Concept section
- Review the feedback from the brand
- Select the option to update or resubmit the concept
- Make the requested changes
- Submit the revised version for review
Your new submission is added as another version. Previous versions and their feedback remain available for reference.
You’ll stay in the concept review step until the brand approves the concept or approves it with corrections.
Concepts Uploaded by the Brand
In some campaigns, a brand or campaign manager may upload a concept on your behalf—for example, if you supplied it through email or a shared document.
Concepts uploaded on your behalf appear in your campaign manager along with their status and review history. The submission will indicate that it was uploaded by the brand rather than by you.
What Happens After Approval?
Once your concept is Approved or Approved with Corrections, you can continue to the next step in the campaign.
Depending on the campaign setup, you may be prompted to:
- Create and submit draft content for review
- Begin producing your final content
- Submit live deliverables
Always review any corrections and campaign requirements before creating your content.
