Instagram has 3 different types of profiles: business, creator, and personal. Due to API limitations set by Instagram, each profile type has access to different features in Later.
This article covers what each type of Instagram profile can and can’t do within Later, how to tell what profile type you have, and how to switch between them.

Key Takeaways
Personal profiles are the only type that can go private on Instagram, but are also granted the least capabilities through the API. This limits their access to many features in Later.
Creator and business profiles share most of the same capabilities in Later—the exception is auto publishing Instagram Stories, which is only available for business profiles.
Our recommendation? If you have (or are willing to have) a public Instagram profile, switch it to a business or creator profile for best, most actionable results! 🚀
