    Connect Instagram to Later Social for Campaigns

    Connecting your Instagram profile to Later Social allows Later to track your campaign content and metrics automatically. 

    Depending on the campaign, certain profiles may be marked as required or optional—if Instagram is a required profile for your campaign, you’ll need to connect it in order to apply.

    Note: You’ll need an Instagram business or creator profile that is connected to a Facebook page in order to connect it to a campaign. Personal profiles aren’t supported. Learn more

    Already a Later Social user?

    If you’re already a Later Social user with Instagram profile(s) connected to your account, these profile will automatically be available for selection in the application.

    To connect a different Instagram profile, you’ll have to connect it to a different Social Set.

    Important: If you remove a connected Instagram profile on the campaign application, it will also be removed from your Later Social account, along with its scheduled posts and associated Link in Bio page (if applicable). These can be restored by re-adding the profile. 

    Connect Instagram to Later

    If you don't already have an Instagram account connected to Later, you can connect it directly from the campaign application:

    1. Navigate to the Social Profiles section of the campaign application
    2. Next to Instagram, select Connect
    3. In the pop-up from Facebook, log in to the Facebook account that manages the Page that your Instagram profile is connected to

    4. Select Next to continue with your campaign application

    Troubleshooting Common Instagram Connection Issues

    Not seeing pop-up window from Instagram or Facebook 

    Due to API changes, you'll no longer be prompted to log in to Instagram when connecting your Instagram profile to Later for campaigns. Instead, you'll need to log in to the Facebook account that manages the Page your Instagram profile is connected to. Learn more about connecting Instagram to a Facebook page

    If you’re not seeing the pop-up window from Facebook when attempting to connect your profile, it’s most likely that your browser (or a browser extension) is blocking it.

    To troubleshoot this, first enable pop-ups on your browser window, refresh the page, and then try again. Here are instructions on managing pop-up settings for popular browsers:

    If it’s still not showing up after that, it could be a browser extension interfering with the pop-up. Try disabling any browser extensions while you attempt to connect your profile. You can re-enable them once you’re connected. Here are instructions on managing browser extensions for popular browsers:

    Tip: To ensure any changes take effect, refresh the application page after adjusting any settings before you retry the connection. First, make a copy of any unsaved work if needed.

    Note: You’ll have to log in again to access the campaign application from the new private window. 
    Wrong Instagram profile is being connected

    If the incorrect Instagram profile is being connected to Later, it’s usually because you’re already logged into that profile in your browser window and the connection module is picking up on that automatically.

    To troubleshoot this, try connecting your Instagram profile from an Incognito or private browsing window. This will prompt you to log into the specific Instagram profile you’d like to connect.

    Note: You’ll have to log in again to access the campaign application from the new private window.

    Not seeing Instagram profile as an option

    If you’re not seeing your business or creator Instagram profile show up as an option to select, it’s most likely because it isn’t connected to a Facebook page that you manage. This is a requirement when connecting Instagram to Later for campaigns. For instructions, see Connect Instagram to a Facebook Page

    Don't have access to Facebook account

    If you don't have access to your Facebook account, you can still connect your Instagram (which requires a Facebook connection for campaign applications) as follows:

    1. Reset or create a Facebook Account
      • If you no longer have access to your original Facebook account, you can either:
    2. If you created a new account, create a new create a new Facebook Page as well at facebook.com/pages/create
    3. Link your Instagram account to the new Page
