You can tag products from your Instagram Shop when scheduling Instagram posts and Reels in Later for desktop or Later’s iOS app. Your products will appear automatically in the Post Builder when your Instagram profile is Supercharged—there’s no need to connect your shop separately in Later.
Tag Instagram Shop Products
You can tag up to 5 products per media item or Reel, and up to 20 products in a Multi-Photo (carousel) post. Product tagging for Stories is unsupported.
Before tagging products, make sure your media is cropped and your post is set to Auto Publish.
- In Later for desktop or the iOS app, create an Instagram post or open an existing post from your Calendar
- Add your media and finish cropping it
- In the Post Builder, select Tag Products
- Select + Tag Another Product
- If you have access to more than one catalog, select the catalog you want to use

Note: Gift cards and certain product variants, such as specific colors, can’t be tagged - Place the product tag:
- For an image post, select the image to choose the tag location
- For a Multi-Photo post, select a thumbnail and then choose the tag location on that image
- For a Reel, no location selection is needed—the product tag appears in the bottom-left corner and applies to the entire Reel
- To add another product, select + Tag Another Product and repeat the steps above
- When you’re finished adding products, select Done
- Finish creating your post, then select Save
Can’t See Your Products?
If your products don’t appear when you select Tag Products:
- Make sure your Instagram profile is Supercharged in Later
- Confirm that your Instagram profile is a business or creator profile connected to a Facebook Page
- Confirm that you’re on a Growth plan or higher
- Check that the products have been approved for your Instagram Shop
- Refresh your Instagram connection and grant all requested permissions
