In this Article:
Change media, make edits, or delete scheduled posts from the web or from the Later mobile app.
Only draft posts, future scheduled posts, or posts that have not been marked "posted" and greyed out can be edited, deleted, or unscheduled.If a post has already been published, you won't be able to delete it from within Later. You'll have to delete it via the social profile it was posted on.
Later users can:
- Remove media items
- Add media items
- Add media to a text post
- Remove media from a Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn post to create a text post
- Rearrange media items in a multi-photo post (not included for Free users)
- Discard unpublished posts
- Edit the caption, crop, and time of a scheduled post
Tip: You can still update the Linkin.bio links after a post has been posted!
Delete a Scheduled Post on Web
- Go to your Calendar on Later on the Web
- Select the scheduled post you wish to delete
- In the lower left of the Post Builder, click Discard Post
Important: Once you've deleted a post, it's gone forever! We don't keep history of your deleted posts for security reasons—be sure you want to delete it forever.
Edit a Scheduled Post on Web
- Go to your Calendar on Later on the Web
- Click on the scheduled post you want to edit
- To edit a draft post, click Draft at the top of the calendar, then select your draft post from the list
- Edit the publishing method, caption, scheduled time, or Linkin.bio links
- For Auto Publish Instagram posts, you can also edit first comment, location, and tagged users
- For Pinterest posts, you can also change the board for the post
- To edit the Post Media:
- Click Edit Video/Image to edit an image or video
- Click Change Media to add or remove media
- Click Change Media to rearrange media (not included for Free users)
- When you're done, click Schedule Post
- If you’re editing a draft post, click Save as Draft (or click the down arrow next to the Save as Draft button > Schedule Post to schedule it)
Delete a Scheduled Post on Mobile
- Go to the Schedule tab in your Later mobile app
- Tap on the scheduled post you want to delete
- On iOS: Tap the three dots at the top right of the screen, then tap Discard Post
On Android: Tap the trash can at the top right of the screen
Edit a Scheduled Post on Mobile
- Go to the Schedule tab in your Later mobile app
- Tap on the scheduled post you want to edit
- To edit a draft post, tap List > Drafts at the top of the calendar, then select your draft post from the list
- Edit the publishing method, caption, scheduled time, or Linkin.bio links
- To edit the Post Media:
- Tap the x to remove media
- Tap the + to add media
- For Multi-Photo (Carousel) posts, tap and drag media to rearrange the order (not included for Free users)
- Tap a photo or video to crop it
- When you're done editing, click Save (on iOS) or Schedule Post (on Android) to save your edits
Note: Posts that are greyed out have already been posted, and can't be edited or deleted.
