In this Article:
Schedule posts to your LinkedIn profile or Page. We’ll automatically publish your LinkedIn posts at their scheduled time so you can plan your content in advance and save time publishing.
Important:
- LinkedIn scheduling is available on all of Later’s pricing plans, including Free
- You can schedule to LinkedIn through Later for desktop and Later's iOS and Android apps
- LinkedIn profiles and Company Pages can schedule text posts, single-image posts, multi-image posts of up to 20 images, or single-video posts
- To add a LinkedIn Page, or refresh expired permissions for one, you must be a super admin of the Page
- LinkedIn videos scheduled and published through Later will play natively in the LinkedIn app
- You can’t schedule LinkedIn Carousel Ads through Later
- You can't tag people when scheduling LinkedIn posts
- The number of LinkedIn posts you can schedule monthly is dependent on your plan
- Captions can be up to 3,000 characters
- URLs in LinkedIn posts are clickable

URLs in text-only LinkedIn posts will generate a link preview
- Due to API limitations, a preview image will not be generated
- LinkedIn Analytics is not available through Later at this time
- Uploading cover images for LinkedIn videos is currently supported through Later for desktop only
LinkedIn Page Role Requirements
Due to API restrictions, you must be a super admin on a Page in order to connect it to Later, and at least a content admin in order to publish to it.
Curator and analyst roles will not be able to connect or publish to LinkedIn Pages through Later.
Super admins can add and edit admins, or you can request admin access to a LinkedIn Page.
Add Your LinkedIn Profile or Page
- From Later for desktop, select the + button at the top of your Calendar to add a social profile
- Select an empty LinkedIn profile slot and select Add Social Profile

Log in to your LinkedIn profile and grant Later access
Note: If you’re already logged into LinkedIn, we’ll show you the profile and Pages of the account you’re logged into. If you’re logged into the wrong LinkedIn account, log out and start again. -
Select the LinkedIn profile or Page you want to add to Later
Note: If you don't see the LinkedIn Page you want to add, ensure you are logged into the right account and have the right permissions.
Schedule a LinkedIn Post
Desktop
- From Later for desktop, go to your Calendar page
- Select your LinkedIn profile or Page from the top of the Calendar
- Drag and drop the media item(s) you want to schedule or the Create Text Post box to your Calendar
- Set the date and time you want the post to go out
- Write a caption up to 3,000 characters or add a Saved Caption
- Save your post

Optional edits:
- Select Edit Image or Edit Video to edit it
- Select Add/Change Media to add/remove media
- For video posts, select Select Cover to upload a cover photo

Select Schedule Post
- Alternatively, select the down arrow next to the Schedule Post button > Save as Draft to save your post as a draft and come back to it later
iOS
- Select the Schedule tab
- Tap the create post icon in the bottom right
- Select your LinkedIn profile or Page
- Write a caption up to 3,000 characters or add a Saved Caption
- If you want to add media, tap +

Optional edits:
- Tap a photo to crop it
- Tap x to remove media
- Tap Change next to where it says No Time Selected
- Select a date and time for publishing, or tap Now under Select a Time to publish now
- Tap Save
- Tap Schedule Post
- Alternatively, tap Save as Draft to save your post as a draft and come back to it later
Android
- Select the Schedule tab
- Tap the create post icon in the bottom right
- Select your LinkedIn profile or Page
- Write a caption up to 3,000 characters or add a Saved Caption
- If you want to add media, tap +
