Plan, schedule, and automatically publish your Snapchat Spotlight and Public Story posts with Later!

Important:

• Snapchat scheduling is available through app.later.com on desktop (not mobile)
• At this time, Later supports scheduling video Spotlight and Public Story posts only
• Snapchat posts are supported for Auto Publish only (no notification publishing)
• To connect to Later, your Snapchat profile must be public with at least one public post, Story, or Spotlight
  • For details, see how to create a public profile on Snapchat
• Snapchat videos must have a 9:16 aspect ratio with a minimum resolution of 540x960 and be between 5 to 60 seconds in length, in MP4 format
• Snapchat images (for Public Story posts only) must have 9:16 aspect ratio with a resolution of 1080x1920, in JPG or PNG format
• Snapchat Analytics aren’t currently available in Later
• The character limit for Snapchat captions are 160 characters
• Snapchat edits like mentions, GIFs, location, and polls aren't supported in Later

Connect Snapchat to Later

You must have a public Snapchat profile with at least one public post, Story, or Spotlight before your profile can be added. If you meet these requirements, you can connect your Snapchat profile to Later as follows:

1. Check that you’re logged in to the correct Snapchat profile on your browser
   • Alternatively, try connecting from an Incognito or private browsing window
2. Navigate to Settings > Social Sets & Access Groups (or click here)
3. Select Edit next to a Social Set with an empty Snapchat slot:
   
4. Select Add Social Profile
   
5. Select an empty Threads slot:
   
6. Select Add Social Profile
   
   Tip: Alternatively, select an empty Snapchat slot from the top of your Calendar.
7. Log in to Snapchat, if needed:
   
8. Select Continue:
   
   
   • If you encounter an error, please ensure that your Snapchat profile is public and you have at least one public post, Story, or Spotlight on it

You’ll be redirected back to Later after connecting your Snapchat profile.

Schedule Snapchat Posts

Once your Snapchat account is connected to Later, you can schedule to Snapchat as follows:

1. From Later for desktop, select Calendar from the left sidebar (or click here)
2. Select your Snapchat profile from the top of the Calendar
3. From the left sidebar, select Create Post
4. Select Add Media and select your media item
   
   Tip: Alternatively, drag a video to a calendar slot with your Snapchat profile selected to automatically open the Post Builder.
5. Next to Post Type, select Public Story or Spotlight
   • Images are only supported for Public Story posts
6. Choose a date and time for your post to Auto Publish
7. Add your post caption, or choose a Saved Caption
8. [Optional] Select Edit Video or Edit Image to edit your media
9. [For Video Spotlight posts only] Toggle whether to save the video to your profile
10. Select Schedule Post
    • Alternatively, click the down arrow next to the Schedule Post button > Save as Draft to save your post as a draft and come back to it later
