Stay ahead on Threads using Later’s real-time analytics to measure your post performance and gain valuable insights to boost engagement.
Important:
- Threads analytics is available on Starter plans and up
- Threads analytics is available on Later on desktop (not mobile)
- Up to 3 months of Threads analytics are available
- It may take up to 24 hours for your analytics to appear
- Due to API limitations, you must have 100 followers on Threads to access Audience Analytics
Access Threads Analytics
After you’ve connected your Threads account to Later, you can access its analytics as follows:
- On app.later.com on desktop, select Analytics from the left sidebar
- Select your Threads account from the dropdown at the top of the page:
You’ll land on the Overview tab by default. If you’ve just connected your Threads account, it may take up to 24 hours for your analytics to appear.
Overview
Profile Summary
Your Profile Summary displays a snapshot of how many Threads posts your profile has in total and your current number of followers.
Page Interactions & Discovery
The Page Interactions & Discovery section displays the following metrics and how they’ve changed over time:
Metric | Definition |
Views | The number of times your Threads profile was viewed |
Likes | The total number of likes your Threads posts have received |
Replies | The total number of replies to your Threads posts |
Reposts | The number of times your Threads posts were reposted |
Quotes | The number of times your Threads posts were quoted by other users |
Use the date picker at the top of the section to select a different date range to display data for. You can also export the data by selecting Export CSV.
Audience
The Audience tab displays data about your Threads followers.
Audience Demographics
The Audience Demographics section displays a breakdown of the gender of your followers (male, female, or prefer not to say) along with their age range.
Audience Location
The Audience Location section shows where your Threads followers live, as well as the top 5 countries and cities.
The map view is colour-coded based on density, where the darkest purple shade represents the highest number of followers in that area:
Post Performance
On the Post Performance tab, you’ll see detailed analytics for each of your Threads posts, as well as aggregate Highlights at the top of the page. Use the date picker at the top to select a date range for the posts to display data for.
Highlights
The Highlights section displays aggregate data across your Threads profile for 3 metrics in the selected date range.
To change which metrics are displayed here, select the Customize Metrics button and use the checkboxes to select up to 3 metrics to highlight, and then select Save:
If you’re on an Enterprise plan and Engagements is selected as a highlight, you can also select which metrics are included in the engagement count:
Detailed Post Performance
Below the Highlights section is a table displaying detailed post performance data for each of your Threads posts that were published in the selected date range.
Each table cell is shaded to indicate its relative performance, with darker hues being associated with better performance:
The post metrics include:
Metric | Definition |
Engagement Rate | Calculated as follows: (Likes + Quotes + Replies) ÷ Views |
Engagements | Total number of likes, quotes, and replies |
Views | Total number of times your post entered a person’s screen |
Likes | Total number of likes your post received |
Replies | Total number of replies your post received |
Reposts | Total number of times your post was reposted |
Quotes | Total number of times your post was quoted |
The table can be sorted by each of these columns’ values by selecting the arrow button next to the column heading.
Select Export CSV to export a CSV file containing the data displayed in your current table configuration and date filters.
2-Week Post Performance
Select any post’s row to open its detailed 2-Week Post Performance card, which displays how it performed over time within the first 2 weeks after it was published. The performance metrics on this card include the following:
Metric / Section | Definition |
Post Detail | The thumbnail (if media was included), when it was posted, and the text content |
Engagement rate | Calculated as follows: (Likes + Quotes + Replies) ÷ Views |
Discovery | How many views the post received |
Actions | How many Likes, Replies, Reposts, and Quotes the post received |
