Adding Music, Captions, Stickers & Effects to Instagram/TikTok Posts

In this Article:

Due to API limitations, some Instagram and TikTok effects are not available when scheduling or auto publishing posts, Reels, or Stories through Later. These effects include:

Trending music, sound effects, and audio from Instagram/TikTok's catalogue
Automatic closed captioning
Stickers
Polls, quizzes, and other interactive elements

Due to Instagram & TikTok API limitations, posts scheduled for Auto Publish do not support these effects. If you'd like to add these Instagram/TikTok effects to your post, Reel, or Story, we recommend scheduling it for notification publishing instead.

With notification publishing, you will receive a notification on your device at your post's scheduled time. You will have the opportunity to open your post in the Instagram or TikTok app and add any effects through Instagram/TikTok's native editor prior to publishing.

Note: Since these effects need to be added from within Instagram/TikTok's native editors, they cannot be added prior to scheduling the post in Later.
