Connect your Instagram shop to Later, so you can tag products on your Instagram posts and Reels and then automatically publish them! 

Important: 

• You can tag Instagram shop products if you have an Instagram business or creator profile
  
• You can tag up to 5 products per media item or Reel, and up to 20 in a Multi-Photo (carousel) post
  • Tagging products in Instagram Stories is not supported
• You can’t tag the same product twice in a media item
• You can’t choose where a tag will be in Reels
  • Your tag will appear in the bottom left corner of the Reel
  • The tag will be applied to the entirety of the Reel (not a single product within the video)
• You can’t tag gift cards in posts
• Tagging Instagram shop posts is available for users on Growth plans and up
• Later does not approve products or review product appeals Learn more
• You can’t appeal products in Later Learn more
• Already-published Instagram posts cannot have product tags added retroactively through Later

Step 1: Add Your Instagram Shop to Later

1. Using app.later.com on desktop, create an Instagram post that you want to tag
2. In the Post Builder, click Connect Instagram Shop
3. Select the Instagram shop you want to connect to
4. After your shop is connected, you can start tagging products!

Step 2: Tag Instagram Shop Products 

1. Click Tag Products in the Post Builder
   
   Note: Make sure your media is cropped before tagging products
2. Click + Tag Another Product
3. Click Select a catalog
4. Select the catalog you want to tag products from 
5. Click the product listed in the catalog you want to tag
   
   Note: You can’t tag gift cards or specific types of products (e.g. color) in posts
6. For image posts, click on the image to choose the location of your tag
   
7. For Multi-Photo (carousel) posts, click the thumbnail to tag products in that image
   
   Note: You can’t choose tag locations in Reels—your tag will appear in the bottom left corner, and be applied to the entirety of the Reel.
8. To tag more shop products, click + Tag Another Product 
9. Once you’ve finished tagging products, click Done
10. Finish creating your post, then click Save
