This FAQ explains the changes to Later’s pricing structure that took place on Aug 5th 2020. The information here is for those who signed up before Aug 5th 2020 and have not yet switched to a current plan.

Why are you making these changes?
Over the past 6 years, Later has grown and expanded. We made lots of improvements and added quite a few features with minimal changes to our pricing.
As such, we’ve re-evaluated how our plans are structured to better reflect the value of Later, and how businesses grow on social media.
How will I be affected?
If you want to stay on the same plan, changes to your account won’t take effect until 2021. Until then, you can keep your existing plan at your current price. We’ll be in touch at various points over the coming year with more details and dates.

What’s changing?
Social Sets
The new pricing is structured around Social Sets. A Social Set is a collection of profiles that includes 1 Instagram, 1 Facebook, 1 Twitter, and 1 Pinterest profile (and a profile for any social networks we add in the future). Social Sets help you organize your social profiles based on brand or identity. You can view your Social Sets in your Social Sets & Access Groups page.
Add-ons
Under the new pricing structure, you’ll be able to add additional Social Sets and users without upgrading to another plan.
Each plan will have a base price per Social Set. Any additional Social Sets will be charged at the base price for your plan. There’s no limit to the number of Social Sets you can add to a paid plan. Note: Free plans are limited to 1 Social Set.
Each plan comes with a set number of users. You can add additional users to each paid plan for $5 per additional user. Note: Free plans are limited to 1 user.

What's the difference between the new plans?
In the new pricing structure, there are 4 different plans (including Free). These plans are designed to support your social needs as your business grows.

When will these changes happen?
From August 5, 2020, we will be rolling out the new pricing structure.
If you’re happy with your current legacy plan, you can stay on it until 2021. Changes to your account won’t take effect until 2021. We’ll be in touch at various points over the coming year with more details and dates.
What is a legacy plan?
Any Later users that signed up before August 5, 2020, are considered to be on legacy plans. This means you’re on our old pricing structure. When you move to a new plan you’ll no longer be on a legacy plan and can’t go back to a legacy plan.
How do I add more Social Sets or users?
If you’re on a legacy plan, you can continue to add more Social Sets and users if you haven’t reached the limit on your legacy plan. To see how many Social Sets and users are included in your legacy plan, go to your Subscription page.
To add more Social Sets or social profiles, go to Social Sets & Access Groups. To add more users, go to Users.

What if I need more Social Sets or users?
If you're on a legacy plan, and want to add more Social Sets or users to your plan, please email pricing@later.com. We’ll discuss the best options with you and guide you through the process.
If you choose to add more Social Sets or users during this time you will be mapped onto a new plan that matches your current plan.
What if I want to access new features?
If you want to access new features that aren’t included in your legacy plan, you’ll have to switch to a plan on the new pricing structure. Starting August 5, 2020, new features will only be released on our new plans. Legacy plans won’t have access to new features released after August 5, 2020.
To access new features, head to our pricing page to switch to a new plan. When you switch to a new plan, we’ll credit you for unused time on your legacy plan and apply it toward the payment for your new plan. Once you switch a new plan, you can’t go back to your legacy plan.
What if I want to change my billing cycle?
If you want to change from monthly to yearly billing, or yearly to monthly billing, you’ll need to switch to a new plan on our new pricing structure. Go to our pricing page to select a new plan that works for you and select yearly or monthly billing in checkout. When you switch to a new plan, we’ll credit you for unused time on your legacy plan and apply it toward the payment for your new plan. Remember, once you switch to a new plan, you can’t go back to your legacy plan.
Note: Your new billing cycle will start at the end of your current billing cycle. For example, if you switch from yearly to monthly billing, you’ll move onto monthly billing after your current yearly billing cycle is over.
What if I’m on a custom plan?
If you need to change your custom plan, please email pricing@later.com. We’ll discuss the best options with you and guide you through the process.
Will I be automatically moved to new Later plans?
No, you won’t be moved onto the new pricing unless you want to change plans.
As a legacy customer, you can continue to pay your current price until 2021 if you stay on your current plan. This means no changes to your current plan, including no access to new features. New features will only be released on our new plans. We’ll be in touch at various points over the coming year with more details and dates.
If you're a legacy plan user, and require additional Social Sets or users during this time, contact pricing@later.com and let us know how many more Social Sets or users you need. We’ll map you onto a new plan that matches your current plan—with the number of Social Sets and users you need.
If you want to change plans to access new features, head to our pricing page to update your plan. Once you switch a new plan, you can’t go back to your legacy plan.
Are changes being made to free accounts?
Yes, there will be a small change to our Free plan in 2021.
When this change happens, legacy Free plans will be moved over to the new Free plan. The only difference is that the new Free plan doesn’t include our Search by Hashtag feature. If you want to continue using Search by Hashtag after the change, you will need to upgrade to the new Starter plan.

Can I go back to my old plan after I change?
No, once you change onto the new pricing structure you won’t be able to switch back to a legacy plan. We recommend getting in touch with us before making any changes to your plan so we can help you find the best option.
When will my plan change?
If you don’t make any changes, your plan won’t change until 2021. We’ll be in touch at various points over the coming year with more details and dates.
