Can’t refresh your connection for Auto Publishing? Nothing happens when you try to refresh? Try these steps.
Step 1: Disable Your Pop-Up Blocker
Later uses a pop-up to help you log in to Facebook to authenticate your profile.
Step 2: Make Sure You’re Logged Into the Right Facebook Account
Go to Facebook.com and make sure you’re logged into the right account. This account must have Facebook access to your Page (or be an an Admin of the Page if you use classic Pages) in order to connect it to your Instagram business or creator profile. Learn about Facebook Page access and roles
Step 3: Reset Later’s Connection to Facebook
Resetting the connection will ensure we can access all your Facebook Page information. Choose your device below to see how.
Desktop Instructions
Step 1 - Remove Later from Facebook:
- Log in to Facebook
- Click the down arrow button
in top right corner
- At this point, ensure that you are acting as your Facebook profile (not as your Page), by clicking See all profiles > your name
- Click Settings & privacy > Settings
- On the left side menu, click Business integrations
- Next to Later, click Remove
- Do not tick the box to remove Later posts
Step 2 - Reconnect Later to Facebook:
- Go to Later on the web
- Go to Social Sets & Access Groups
- Select the Access Group with the relevant Instagram profile
- Tap Enable or Refresh next to your Instagram business or creator profile
No pop-up? If no Facebook pop-up appears when clicking Enable or Refresh, you may have a pop-up blocker enabled. Allow pop-ups from Later and try again. - When prompted to give Facebook access to Later, click Choose what you allow
- Expand all sections and make sure all permissions have been granted
- Do not uncheck any permissions
Important: If you don’t grant all permissions to Later, this can prevent us from refreshing your connection.
iOS Instructions
Step 1 - Remove Later from Facebook:
- In the Facebook app, tap ☰ on the bottom right corner
- Scroll down and tap Settings
- Under Security, tap Business Integrations
- Select Later and tap Remove
- Tap Remove again
- Do not tick the box to delete Later posts
Step 2 - Reconnect Later to Facebook:
- In the Later mobile app, go to Account > Auto Publish Settings
- Tap Enable or Refresh next to your Instagram business or creator profile
- Tap Log in to Facebook
- Log in to your personal account that’s connected to your Instagram business or creator profile
- This account must have Facebook access to your Page (or be an an Admin of the Page if you use classic Pages)

- Tap Choose what you allow and make sure all permissions are enabled
- Tap OK
Android Instructions
