Can’t refresh your connection for Auto Publishing? Nothing happening when you try to refresh? Try these steps.
Step 1: Disable Your Pop-Up Blocker
Later uses a pop up to help you log in to Facebook to authenticate your profile.
Step 2: Make Sure You’re Logged Into the Right Facebook Account
Go to Facebook.com and make sure you’re logged into the right account. This account must be an Admin of the Facebook Page connected to your Instagram business profile.
Step 3: Reset Later’s Connection to Facebook
Resetting the connection will ensure we can access all your Facebook Page information. Choose your device below to see how.
Desktop Instructions
Step 1 - Remove Later from Facebook:
- Log in to Facebook
- Click the down arrow button
in top right corner - Click Settings and Privacy > Settings
- Go to Business Integrations from the left side-menu
- Select Later and click Remove (do not tick the box to remove Later posts)
Step 2 - Reconnect Later to Facebook:
- Go to Later on the web
- Go to Social Sets & Access Groups
- Select the Access Group with the relevant Instagram profile
- Beside the social profile, click the Refresh button
- When prompted to give Facebook access to Later, click Choose what you allow
- Expand all sections and make sure all permissions have been granted. Do not uncheck any permissions.
No pop-up? If no Facebook pop-up appears when clicking Refresh, you may have a pop-up blocker enabled. Allow pop-ups from Later and try again.
Important: If you don’t grant all permissions to Later, this can prevent us from refreshing your connection.
iOS Instructions
Step 1 - Remove Later from Facebook:
- In the Facebook app, tap ☰ on the bottom right corner.
- Scroll down and tap Settings.
- Under Security, tap Business Integrations.
- Select Later and tap Remove.
- Tap Remove again (do not tick the box to delete Later posts).
Step 2 - Reconnect Later to Facebook:
- In the Later mobile app, go to Account > Auto Publish Settings.
- Tap Refresh next to your Instagram business profile.
- Tap Log in to Facebook.
- Log in to your personal account that’s connected to your Instagram business profile. This account must be an Admin for the connected Facebook page.
- Tap Choose what you allow and make sure all permissions are enabled.
- Tap OK.
Android Instructions
Step 1 - Remove Later from Facebook:
- In the Facebook app, tap ☰ on the bottom right corner.
- Scroll down and tap Settings.
- Under Security, tap Business Integrations.
- Select Later and tap Remove.
- Tap Remove again (do not tick the box to delete Later posts).
Step 2 - Reconnect Later to Facebook:
- In the Later mobile app, go to Account > Auto Publish Settings.
- Tap Refresh next to your Instagram business profile.
