Ready to Tweet with Later? Connect your Twitter profile and start scheduling all your visual marketing content. We’ll automatically publish your Tweets at their scheduled time so you can plan your content in advance and save time publishing.
Note: At this time, scheduling multiple tweets as a Twitter thread is not supported in Later.
Important:
- You can schedule to Twitter from Later on the web or Later's iOS and Android apps
- All users can schedule tweets with 1 image, 1 GIF, 1 video, or only text
- Users on current paid plans can schedule Multi-Photo (carousel) Tweets with up to 4 images
- The number of Tweets you can schedule monthly is dependent on your plan
- Tweets can be up to 280 characters
- You can tag people in Tweets
- URLs in Tweets are clickable
- URLs in text-only Tweets will generate a link preview
- Twitter posts are always auto published
Add Your Twitter Profile
- In Later on the web, click the + button at the top of your Calendar to add a social profile
- Select an empty Twitter profile slot and click Add Social Profile
- Log in to your Twitter profile and grant Later access
- Select the Twitter profile you want to add to Later
Note: If you’re already logged into Twitter, we’ll show you the profile and pages of the account you’re logged into. If you’re logged into the wrong Twitter account, log out and start again.
Schedule a Tweet
Desktop
- Go to your Calendar on Later on the web
- Select your Twitter profile at the top
- Drag and drop the media you want to schedule, or drag the Create Text Post box onto your Calendar for a text-only Tweet
- Set the date and time you want the post to go out
- Write a caption of up to 280 characters, or add Saved Captions

Optional edits:
- Edit your media by clicking Edit Image/Video under it
- Click Change Media to rearrange or add/remove media

Click Schedule Post
- Alternatively, click the down arrow next to the Schedule Post button > Save as Draft to save your post as a draft and come back to it later
iOS
- Go to the Schedule tab in the Later iOS app
- Tap the create-post button in the bottom right
- Select your Twitter profile
- Add your caption (up to 280 characters) and hashtags
- If you want to add media, tap +
- Optional edits:
- Tap a photo to crop it
- Tap x to remove media
- Tap Change next to where it says No Time Selected
- Select a date and time for publishing, or tap Now under Select a Time to publish now
- Tap Save
- Tap Schedule Post
- Alternatively, tap Save as Draft to save your post as a draft and come back to it later
Android
- Go to the Schedule tab in the Later Android app
- Tap the create-post button in the bottom right
- Select your Twitter profile
- Add your caption (up to 280 characters) and hashtags
- If you want to add media, tap +

Tip: Growth and Advanced plan users can also enable Click Tracking to track caption URL clicks in Later's Twitter Analytics. Your link will be shortened using Later's link shortener.
